A camp on awareness of gender-based violence and crime against women and children in Manipur was held at Nambashi Khullen, Kamjong district on Sunday organised by Women Action for Development (WAD).
Volunteers of WAD interacted with the villagers and discussed their grievances where women of the village spoke about shortage of water and how they have to travel 30 minutes every day to draw water from streams.
The women said that men of the village searched for stream water available in the hill range. Almost all streams or springs in the hills have vanished, they informed.
