A six-week ‘Entrepreneurship Skill Development Training on Garment Making’ organised by the Human Resource Development Organisation (HRDO) at Kalinagar in Jiribam district concluded on Wednesday.
The event, which was held at Brother’s Union community hall, was attended by Jiribam Municipal Council Ward No III councilor Th Purnima Devi, HRDO vice principal Sinam Sagirika Devi, Jiri College assistant professor Priti Rani, Apunba Jiri Meira Paibi (AJMR) member Sangapam Sushila Devi and Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) president Atom Asangbi Devi as the chief guest, president and guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, HRDO Jiribam Branch general secretary Kshetrimayum Biren said that the training programme commenced on May 27 with the objective of improving the lives of economically weak women communities. The training programme was organised under the labour board of Manipur, he added.
The programme was conducted with four trainers, he further said, adding the trainees of the programme also took part in an exposure programme at DIC Silchar. DIC Imphal East had assured to provide opportunities to the trainees who had received certificates under PMGP, he added.
