Four Manipuris attacked by miscreants in Delhi

The four Manipuris were reportedly attacked by a gang of 10-15 unknown miscreants at Kilokari village, Maharani Bagh around 11.30 pm on Thursday.

In a harrowing incident, four Manipuris were physically assaulted allegedly by unknown miscreants in Delhi on Thursday night.

According to sources, the incident occurred at Kilokari village, Maharani Bagh around 11.30 pm. The four individuals including one Yambem Kendy Singh, his wife, sister and friend were reportedly attacked by a gang of 10-15 unknown miscreants.

It is learnt that they were approached by three individuals, including a woman, seeking help on the pretext that their phone died, following which Kendy even booked a cab for them.

However, things took a turn when the second party reportedly called their friends and allegedly attacked Kennedy and his team, following which a scuffle broke out between the two sides. The miscreants did not even spare the female companions of Kendy, sources added.

Meanwhile, Kendy has filed a complaint regarding the incident to Sunlight Colony Police Station citing attempt to murder and molestation. He suspected foul play over the incident and asserted that the whole attack might have been pre-planned. Seeking justice, he appealed to probe the matter.

The fresh incident has sparked concerns among the people in the state and the capital. Social media users have also posted the incident raising awareness and calling for unity among the Manipuris in Delhi.
