Two teams of Special CDO, unit with 1(one) Women Constable No. 1215030 W.Dushanti Devi of Porompat Women Police Station, led by Subedar L Bebekananda Singh OC- SPL CDO unit under the supervision of Th Krishnatombi Singh, superintendent of Police, Railways & in-charge Special Commando unit, Khabeisoi arrested a former cadre of KCP (Noyon Group).
Acting on a specific input received from 16 AR regarding the presence of one suspected person, the teams rushed to the area of Thoubal Awang leikai near ATM booth, Thoubal District at around 7.30am on Monday and conducted frisking and checking.
During the frisking and checking one unknown individual coming in a suspicious manner towards Thoubal bazar by foot was detained for verification.
According to sources, the arrested person identified himself as 41-year-old Khoirom Ratan Singh son of Kh Garu Singh from Nongpok Lourembam Mayai Leikai Thoubal district, Manipur. Four mobile phones, a Samsung Keypad (Blue in colour), callbar keypad (Gold in color), Kechaoda keypad (Black in color) without Mobile battery and W-tech keypad (Dark blue in color) along with Airtel Sim were recovered from him on further body search, sources added.
On preliminary questioning he revealed that he was a former cadre of KCP (Noyon Group), joined in the year 2010 and holding a post of Lance corporal. He also admitted that he is using the name of Khaba Singh, RPF/PLA Orgd and working himself in the name of one commander Ronel @ Moibung of RPF/PLA Orgd. He has been using the Airtel No. 7085642077 for demanding to the general public and Businessmen at Thoubal Area etc. and also collected huge amounts of money from the general public and businessmen.
Sources said that he was arrested at the spot at around 9.30am and the mentioned items were seized from him at around 9.40am.
The arrested person along with the seized items were handed over to Thoubal PS for further necessary legal action against him.
