Former Kakching MLA Y Surchandra Singh resigns from Manipur Congress

Workers of the former MLA of Kakching assembly constituency who was elected for three consecutive terms with Congress ticket, submitted the resignation letter to the president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee.

Former MLA of Kakching assembly constituency Y Surchandra Singh on Wednesday submitted his resignation letter to the president of Congress Party from the primary membership of the party.

Workers of the former MLA who was elected for three consecutive terms with Congress ticket, submitted the resignation letter to the president of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC).

A reliable source alleged that the former MLA had taken the decision since the MPCC denied him the party ticket for the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections, 2022.

Although Y Surchandra has not announced from which party he will be contesting, he assured that he will definitely contest the upcoming election, the source affirmed.
