With the continuous overflow of rivers due to incessant rain, five houses had been swept away while 60 houses had been flooded at Kamarang, Jiribam district on Monday.
Meanwhile, Kamarang Youth Club had arranged relief camps for the affected families. Speaking on the occasion, Kamarang Muslim Club president Abdul Rejak said that some parts of the Khoi Choithup had eroded and swept away by the currents of the overflowing river towards Assam.
Representatives of Kamarang Youth Club had arranged 11 relief camps at the club, where they had been providing the needs of the affected families, he added.
