A book titled ‘Fertility Dynamics in Manipur: A Reference Book for Maternal Health Research’ authored by Naorem Sharat Singh and Oinam Tomba Singh who are faculty members of department of Statistics, DM College of Science, Imphal has been released at the Mini Conference Hall of the vice chancellor office of Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal on Saturday.
Professor Rajmuhon Singh said that such a book would be highly useful in Trans-disciplinary Research and the present trend type of research. Bhubaneshwari Devi and Ch Sheelaramani also expressed that the book will surely be useful in the context of examining maternal health indicators with sound statistical accounts in Manipur particularly.
N Sharat Singh said that the findings of the book will be a Baseline Information of Researchers working in the field of population studies associated with the subjects – economics, geography, sociology, anthropology, community medicine etc.
The function was attended by VC Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal professor N Rajmuhon Singh, principal, DM College of Science, Imphal N Bhubaneshwari Devi and principal, DM College of Arts, Imphal Ch Sheelaramani.
