As Manipur is set to host the Femina Miss India 2023 grand finale for the first time ever in Northeast India's history, all 30 contestants will be arriving in Imphal on Friday at 11.30 am., sources said.
The sources said that the contestants will be accorded a warm traditional welcome and hospitality as they land at the Bir Tikendrajit International airport Imphal
The 59th edition of the Femina Miss India is scheduled to be held at the Indoor Stadium, Sports Complex, Khuman Lampak, Imphal on April 15.
The Tourism Ministry and the Times Group had signed an agreement to officiate the partnership and exchanged the agreement to hold the beauty pageant in Imphal, in the presence of Chief Minister N Biren and Vineet Jain, managing director, Times of India.
"We are excited to bring our iconic event to the People of Manipur, and we will pull out all stops to make it an inspiring and entertaining event the city has seen... The state of Manipur also believes in empowering its women to be equal partners in development and hence this partnership is a natural culmination of ideologies and vision,” Times of India chief executive officer Raje Prem Kumar had said following the signing of the agreement.
