The felicitation ceremony of Rev Dr Ng Molarhring Monsang was held at Khoriibung, Japhou on Saturday. The felicitation ceremony was organised by Monsang Theological Association (MTA) in collaboration with Ngiiriiti Shungkhour Lhungna Ruh (NSLR) Japhou and family members on being conferred the Degree of ‘Doctor of Ministry’ by Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, on September 22, 2023.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Monsang church leaders, social leaders, chiefs, elders and well-wishers.
Rev Alani Shongsir, Executive Secretary MNBCA attended the ceremony as blessing minister. K Bosom, executive member MTA, moderated the programme. The programme started with an opening prayer by Rev Kh John and closing prayer by Ng Bengamshing, member MTA.
During the felicitation ceremony, appreciation note and certificate to Dr Ng Molarhring was presented by Monsang Theological Association (MTA) Secy, Rev Th Rockson, Ngiiriiti Shongkhuwr Lhungna Ruh (NSLR) President Ng Joykumar and Sirti Upa Ruh (SUR) President Ng Benithan. The congregation congratulated and prayed for more blessings in future for Ng Molarhring and family.
Rev Dr Ng Molarhring is the first person among the Ngiiriiti clan and the third person among the Monsang community to have completed the degree of Doctor of Ministry (D. Min) in the religious field.
Rev Dr Ng Molarhring thanked all the invitees for the moral support and blessing prayer held for his family as well. The auspicious occasion was followed by a grand felicitation feast for all invitees.
