The Federation of Haomee (FoH) on Sunday reaffirmed its commitment to defend the unity and integrity of Manipur and called upon all to extend their support and assistance to the same.
FoH convened a meeting at Kongleiram Tangkhul Village in Kangpokpi district, wherein they took various resolutions to protect and uphold the unity and integrity of the state, stated a release.
The meeting was part of a series of interactions being held between FoH and Yek Salai groups of the hill districts, it said. Kongleiram Tangkhul village chief Aleng, FoH president Sapamcha Jadumani and vice president K Heera Kabui were present during the meet, it mentioned.
People of Tangkhul and Meetei communities present at the meet took several resolutions, including to resolve the prevailing communal unrest in the state, it stated.
They also cautioned the attempt to disintegrate the state’s unity by illegal immigrants and called upon the indigenous people of the state to unite and fight against such divisive forces, it mentioned.
