Nongpok Ningthou Farmers Producer Company Limited which will be promoted by KVK Thoubal under NABARD opened its new office and store at Shikhong Khumbi in Thoubal district on Thursday.

The programme was attended by KVK Thoubal senior scientist N Tomba as the chief guest, Nongpok Ningthou Farmers Producer Company Limited chairman Soibam Binitkumar as the president and Shikhong Development Committee president as the guest of honour along with the farmers of the region.

Speakers of the programme stressed the importance of forming farmers’ companies in order to boost their harvest production. The farmers extended their acknowledgement to KVK and NABARD for their initiatives for the well-being of the farmers’ fraternity and also appealed to the educated youth to join the farmer’s company and become self-employed.
