As many as eight persons from Manipur have been selected for the ‘BSA National Award 2024’ in recognition of their achievements and innovations.
The individuals are Kakchingtabam Sumati Devi for the ‘Vaidya Ratna National Award 2024’; Thingujam Reeta Chanu for the ‘Lifetime Achievement National Award 2024’ and Kakchingtabam Basu Singh; Oinam Jiten Singh; RK Birendrajit Singh; Thongram Sanatomba Singh; Laishram Jayenta Singh and Tongbram Heikoi Singh for the ‘Kala Ratna National Award 2024’, stated Bahujana Sahitya Academy (National Committee of India) Manipur State in a release on Wednesday.
It mentioned that the awards will be distributed during the upcoming ‘Bahujana Writers 7th South India Conference’ to be held at Krishna Reddy Bhavan on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Celin Digital, Phanjoubam Lanajit Singh has been awarded with the ‘Rabindra Ratna Puraskar 2024’.
Veyil Foundation Bengaluru, recognised by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India accorded him the award, stated a release on Wednesday.
Ph Lanajit is also the president of Bahujana Sahitya Academy (National Committee of India) Manipur State besides serving in various organisations in the state and outside, it added.
