IPS Probationers of 2021 and 2022 Batch and Lt General RP Kalita GOC-In-Chief of Eastern Command called on the governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday on separate occasions and discussed the prevailing situation of the state.
According to a press release from the Raj Bhavan, IPS Probationers of 2021 and 2022 Batch - Abhinav, Dharmendra Kumar, Gaurav Dogra and Prakhar Pandey called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Imphal where they were extended warm welcome.
The Governor extended her warm welcome to the visiting IPS officers and wished them to execute their duty diligently in the interest of the countrymen and to work for the welfare of the country, the Raj Bhavan said.
In light of the prevailing situation in the state, Uikey informed about the various initiatives taken up by her office to bring amicable solutions between both the communities in conflict. She also advised the IPS probationers to understand the present situation of the state, the release stated.
Lt General RP Kalita GOC-In-Chief, Eastern Command also called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday and discussed the prevailing situation and security measures which are put in place to contain/prevent any violent and major untoward incidents in Manipur.
The Army chief also discussed the steps taken up to restore normalcy at the earliest.
The Governor shared her suggestions for restoring peace in the state to the Army chief and further instructed to safeguard the lives of the people and bring the prevailing situation of the state to normalcy, the Raj Bhavan stated.
