East-Zone VC’s meet at Assam Royal Global University ends

The Association of Indian Universities’ East Zone Vice Chancellors’ Meet on ‘Integrating Bhartiya Knowledge System (BKS) with Higher Education’ hosted by the Assam Royal Global University concluded on Tuesday.

Vice Chancellors of more than 40 universities took part in the two-day conference, Rhituparna Das Borah, deputy manager, PR, Royal Global University said in a press release.

The valedictory session of the two-day conference was graced by Sonal Mansingh, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan Awardee, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha).
Vice Chancellor of Royal Global University professor S P Singh, while delivering the Welcome address, thanked Sonal Mansingh for gracing the occasion and said that she symbolises The Bhartiya Knowledge System since she has been working relentlessly working through the medium of dance for the Indian culture. He also thanked AIU for giving Royal Global University the opportunity to host the Vice Chancellor’s meet, the varsity said in the release.

Delivering the valedictory address Dr. Sonal Mansingh emphasized on the Bharatiya Knowledge System being an integral part of our lives and how essential it is to maintain a perfect balance and harmony in life. She also spoke on how important it is for all teachers, educators and professors to incorporate the Bharatiya Knowledge System in their lives and pass it on to students that will eventually contribute to nation building. The dance exponent also underlined that the most simple and important aspects of our culture is namaste or namaskar.

Pankaj Mittal, secretary general of AIU thanked Royal Global University and Vice Chancellor professor SP Singh for making the two-day conference a grand success and thanked all the Vice Chancellors for their participation and fruitful deliberations on both the days. On the other hand, delivering the Presidential address, Professor GD Sharma, President AIU said that the two days were fruitful.

Sistla Rama Devi Pani, Editor, University news, AIU gave an overview of the two-day conference. Meanwhile, Alok Kumar Mishra, Joint Secretary, while delivering the Vote of thanks, appreciated the efforts of Royal Global University for successful completion of the two-day conference.

After the conference, Sonal Mansingh and Pankaj Mittal toured the Art Studio of Royal Global University.

Earlier in the day, the Vice Chancellors and the esteemed dignitaries deliberated on the topic ‘Embedding Bhartiya Knowledge System for futuristic Education’, Chaired by Chand Kiran Saluja, Former Professor, Delhi University, Professor v Ramanathan, IIT, Varanasi (BHU), Savita Sengar, VC, Jharkhand Rai University, Ranchi were present as guest speakers.
