Drug awareness campaign

A poster campaign along with street corner meetings was also launched at areas under Lilong Police station in connection with the upcoming ‘International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, 2022’.

Nongpok Sekmai Police station organised a drug awareness programme on Friday at Nongpok Lourembam Community hall in connection with the upcoming International day against Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking, 2022 which falls on Sunday. 

The event conducted under the supervision of SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam was attended by SDPO Yairipok Th Shanti singh, pradhan nominee of Lourembam GP Khoirom Sanakhomba as president and chief guest respectively.

Giving the keynote address, officer in charge of Nongpok Sekmai police station N Premkumar briefed about the observance of the day and also talked on the harmful effects of using drugs and other tobacco products. 

Local club members and youths also attended the event. Meanwhile, a poster campaign along with street corner meetings was also launched at areas under Lilong Police station in connection with the upcoming ‘International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, 2022’.

The campaign was organised by Lilong Police station in association with ALADA and ANJUMAN, Lilong under the overall supervision of SP Thoubal Jogeshchandra Haobijam (IPS).
