Addressing the press at Khwairamband Ima market on Sunday, one of the vendors, Asem Bheigyabati, alleged that two women vendors identified as Nirmala and Leirentombi came earlier and took signatures of the women vendors. She was informed by Nirmala and Leirentombi that the signature was taken for installation of an ATM booth on the first floor of Khwairamband Ima Market and to construct a public toilet at the ground floor after considering the feasibility of old aged women vendors, she said.

However, it came to light that the signatures were for creation of a new organisation, she said and condemned such acts of collecting signatures with a hidden agenda.
