Speaking to the media on the sidelines while distributing relief material at various relief camps, Lup president L Ibelei highlighted that the union home minister had assured to usher peace within 15 days during his visit to Manipur amid the crisis.

Forget about sticking to his promise; he did not even bat an eyelid to the violence in Manipur again, she added.

As such, she maintained that the people of Manipur were suspicious about the assurances that he made during the recent meeting with the Manipur chief minister.
