A combined team of Kangpokpi Forest Division, District police of Kangpokpi and Imphal East continued to destroy illegal cultivation of poppy in the hill ranges of Lhangsom village under Saikul subdivision on Wednesday.

The team, led by Divisional Forest Officer, Kangpokpi Forest Division, cleared a total of 45 acres of illegal poppy cultivation, informed Range Forest Officer/Headquarters, Kangpokpi Forest Division.

The RFO/HQ, Kangpokpi Forest Division also informed that FIRs and PORs have been filed against the poppy cultivators.
