Kaikhup Tingjalhai (KT) Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi celebrated Cultural Day-cum-Teachers' Day on Monday at the school campus at Kangpokpi District Headquarters.
The event was graced by Kuki renowned actor and entrepreneur Paul Haokip, Letlenchung Boichung Lupho, and the College Principal Aseh Chongloi was the guest while Upa Doujang Khongsai attended as the blessing minister.
The administrator of the school, Lalam Chongloi greeted all the guests and invitees before highlighting the importance and the vision of the school in organizing the cultural event.
Paul Haokip stressed the importance of education while Letlenchung Boichung Lupho emphasized on the topic, "my culture my identity" during the event.
Grace Chongloi and M Joy Singh from the administration department of the school also spoke on the occasion highlighting why the cultural event was organized and also stressed on the importance of teachers to student life.
Hundreds of students from various communities, including Kuki, Naga, Meetei, and Nepali are studying and learning together in school.
The display of cultural dance and recitation of poems from students of different communities, such as Thadou Kuki, Nepali, Meetei, Naga, among others were the main highlights of the event.
While understanding the value and importance of their teachers, the students also honoured their teachers with presents and gifts to show their love and respect during the event.
