CPI submits memorandum to 21 MPs

The memorandums to the 21 MPs of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) who are on a two-day visit to Manipur to take stock of the situation in the state.

The Communist Party of India - Manipur State Council (CPI-MSC) and its mass fronts on Saturday submitted different memorandums to the 21 MPs of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) who are on a two-day visit to Manipur to take stock of the situation in the state.

Memorandums from Manipur Loumi Lup, All Manipur Nupi Marup, AITUC Manipur, AISF Manipur were submitted to the 21-membered Opposition delegation, stated a release.

The memorandum from Nupi Marup mentioned that women and girls are mostly affected by the conflict and appealed to discuss the matter in the parliament, it stated. While AISF Manipur in its memorandum appealed to lift the existing ban on mobile internet services, it said.

Manipur Loumi Lup in their memorandum highlighted the difficulties facing the farmers in carrying out agricultural activities owing to frequent gun attacks by armed militants, it mentioned. And AITUC Manipur appealed for intervention to lift the ongoing three-month-long economic blockade by Kukis in Kangpokpi, it added.
