Volunteers of CPI, including women, voiced for the resignation of chief minister stating that it’s been over nine months since the violence brought out on May 3, 202 3 and hasn’t end yet. It is due to the irresponsible and incompetent chief minister, they stated.

During the rally, the CPI volunteers shouted, “Chief minister should resign on moral responsibility”.

Protestors stated that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should also resign from his post as he is also incompetent to protect Manipur. Many are still being killed with many displaced people still staying at relief camps. Nothing is seen to help solve the violence in the state, they stated.

They also questioned why the chief minister was unable to order the resignation of the security advisor when he was the one who appointed him.
