Communist Party of India, Sekmai Local Council, held its 41st annual conference at Loitang Khunou in Sekmai Assembly Constituency on Sunday, with the party carrying out the Manipur Territorial Integrity Month protest.
The conference was held at Loitang Khunou in Sekmai Assembly Constituency, stated CPI Manipur State Council, in a release.
Comrad L Thoiren, in his statement, said that the party has been taking pivotal roles in various issues of the state.
He asserted that the party will continue to work alongside the people and strive to protect the state’s integrity at all costs.
He pointed out that the state government, whose utmost duty is to ensure the safety and security of the people, has allegedly failed to fulfil its responsibility.
The long negligence of the government ignited the conflict in the state, the party alleged, and said that a political solution is needed to end the conflict.
The party also presented its political report on the root cause of the conflict and took various resolutions to end the issue, it mentioned.
CPI leaders including Manijao Meitei, L Thoiren, M Joykumar and L Inaocha, president of all Manipur Nupi marup Th Sakhi, AMNM Secretary, L Sumatibala and others took part in the event, the party said.
