The Manipuri Students’ Federation (MSF) has called on a staff of a college in Imphal to surrender before the student body within three days for allegedly taking admission bribes from over 50 students.

MSF general secretary Rojit Tekcham told media at its head office located at Thounaojam Leikai Junior High School, Imphal West on Tuesday that a team of the student body, including himself, conducted a drive at Liberal College, Luwangshangbam, Imphal on Tuesday.

During the drive it was found that a contractual staff of the college identified as one Thangjam Roshan allegedly took huge amounts of bribes from over 50 students in the name of college admission, Rojit said.

He said, during the drive, MSF found a large number of the same admission receipt number issued to the students and based on the information, the student body was able to detect the corrupt behaviour of Roshan.

MSF said Thangjam Roshan should surrender before the student body within 3 days and should confess his wrongful act to the public.

Meanwhile, the MSF will organise their 17th Academic Campaign “Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi” day on February 9 at Grace Cottage Academy in Kakching at 10 am.
