All Manipur Relief and Village Volunteer Organising Committee on Tuesday appealed to all the people of Manipur to continue their aid in relief camps and village volunteers as there are still several people in the peripheral villages who are struggling to cope with the challenges of the crisis.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club in Imphal, president of the committee Haobam Shitaljit stated that several relief camps and people manning the peripheral villages are going through insurmountable difficulties even amid the assistance provided by the people.
“Numerous relief camps are reeling under pressure even with the aids provided by the state government,” he said.
He also highlighted that the committee has been coordinating with the masses in striving to streamline relief materials wherever it is needed.
“Ever since the crisis erupted the committee has been working non-stop to provide necessary materials in isolated areas,” he said.
He pointed out that those who have moved out of relief camps and into their villages were reeling under pressure to maintain a proper livelihood.
As such he further exhorted people to continue extending aid in helping the displaced people.
