Manipur Works Minister Thongam Biswajit said the Congress party has failed to bring inclusive and uniform development miserably and ruined the entire nation.
The minister was speaking during the reception ceremony of actor RK Somorendro and Gaidon Kamei who joined the BJP recently.
The programme, organised by BJP Thangmeiband Mandal, was held at Thangmeiband Laijingningthou Lampak, Lairenhanjaba Leikai Thangmeiband, Imphal on Friday.
Biswajit said the Congress party had ruled for so many years but could not bring inclusive and uniform development in the country. As a result, the Northeast region, particularly Manipur is left in ruins, undeveloped and unstable.
However, with the formation of the BJP government in Manipur, peace, tranquillity and development have prevailed.
“If the people give an absolute majority to the BJP. The state will witness a monumental change”, said Biswajit.
He appealed to the people of Thangmeiband to vote for BJP’s Jotin Waikhom to bring about substantial development in the constituency.
“People of Thangmeiband could not see any development for the last many years with the MLA sitting in the opposition. To change that, it is high time the constituency to elect a representative in the ruling party,” Biswajit added.
