Various organisations and associations extended their condolences on the sudden demise of influential woman activist, former president of Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, Longjam Memchoubi who passed away on Sunday.
Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK), Kanglei Ima Lup (KIL) and All Manipur Ethnical Socio-cultural Organisation (AMESCO), in separate releases, condoled the untimely demise of Ima Memchoubi and said that her sudden demise is an irreparable loss to the state.
The associations also eulogised Ima Memchoubi for her immense contributions and pivotal roles in various important issues of the state. They also shared grief of the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest peacefully in heavenly abode, the releases stated.
AMESCO, in its release, also mentioned that the organisation held a condolence ceremony at its head office wherein the members observed a 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
