Committee calls upon all to join efforts to resolve the prevailing conflict in the state at the earliest.

The Committee For Peace and Social Harmony, Kakching on Saturday expressed immense gratitude to various associations, civil society organisations and the general public for their invaluable assistance to the committee.

Speaking at an event, a representative of the Committee P Somarendra said that the relief camp set up by the committee at Indoor Stadium Kakching is sheltering many displaced victims. He asserted that the committee would not have been able to successfully run the camp for over four months without the people’s help.

He further urged everyone irrespective of communities to join efforts to resolve the prevailing conflict in the State at the earliest. Residents of Phunal Sambum village under Chandel district also provided vegetables and firewood to the camp during the event, it stated.
