Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak condoles death of Akoijam Janaki

CCSK has stated that Akoijam Janaki Leima played an important role to repeal the Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958 from the state.

Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) extended condolence on the death of Akoijam Janaki Leima, a women activist, due to COVID-19.

A release by CCSK has stated that Akoijam Janaki Leima played an important role to repeal the Armed Forces Special Powers Act 1958 from the state. She dedicated her life to many agitations and protests which were raised for the protection of identity and culture of the people of Manipur.

Janaki was the president of Mommu Irikhonbi Lup (MIKHOL) and advisor of Women Association for Socio-economic Development (WASDEV). Her demise is an irreparable loss for society. CCSK would share the grief of the bereaved family, it added.
