CM’s ‘Health For All’ scheme launched in Thoubal

Door-to-door health screening programme conducted as a part of the ‘CM’s Health For All’ scheme under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, at Health and Wellness Centre, Tekcham in Thoubal district on Friday.

District Health Society Thoubal on Friday conducted a door-to-door health screening programme and commenced ‘CM’s Health For All’ scheme, as a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, at Health and Wellness Centre, Tekcham in Thoubal district.

The event was attended by pradhan of Tekcham gram panchayat L Iboyaima, chief medical officer Thoubal Dr Y Nokul, state nodal officer NCD, SHS Dr Y Premchandra, district TB officer Thoubal Dr T Pramodini Devi and district malaria officer Thoubal Dr L Joykumar Singh as the presidium members.

The presidium members distributed screening certificates to those who have completed the health screening, and medical kits and mobile phones to the medical team.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Thoubal A Subash said that chief minister N Biren initiated the ‘CM’s Health For All’ scheme on October with the aim to promote good health in the remote areas, by providing health screenings and awareness of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). Urging the people to take the opportunities of the scheme, he appealed to the doctors, nurses and ASHA workers to work together for the success of the scheme.

The CM’s Health For All scheme was also initiated at HWC-UPHC, Kakching on Thursday. The event was attended by MLA of Kakching Assembly Constituency Mayanglambam Rameshwar, chief medical officer Kakching Th Rajen, SNO, NCD Manipur Dr Y Premchand, SNO Urban NHM Manipur Dr Swaruprani and DFWO Kakching Dr H Surjit Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, Y Premchand highlighted the opportunities provided by the scheme. After demonstrating the application of the ASHA Plus instrument used in the detection of many diseases, which is developed by Hyderabad based TAMUKNA, he handed over three of the instruments to the health center.

Commending N Biren for initiating such health schemes for the wellbeing of the public, MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar asserted that Biren introduced the ‘CM’s Health For All’ scheme for the ease of health check-up and diagnosis in the remote rural areas, and stretched on the important roles of the ASHA workers, medical staffs as well as the local leaders in working together for the success of the scheme.
