CM Biren visits Ningthoukhong victims’ families

Visiting the victims’ families on Sunday, he told media persons that the government will definitely hunt down the perpetrators and book them as per the law of the land.

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has strongly condemned the cowardly killing of four innocent villagers at Kha Khunou Ningthoukhong, Bishnupur district.

Visiting the victims’ families on Sunday, he told media persons that the government will definitely hunt down the perpetrators and book them as per the law of the land.

I am deeply aggrieved by seeing the living condition of the families, he said, adding that the victims have left behind their families including small children and aged parents.

It was extremely unfortunate and tragic, he said, and added that he condemns in the strongest terms the terrorists who have killed the innocent farmer. He further said that the state government is approaching the Central government to replace those central forces who are taking sides, and to replace them with neutral forces so that the lives and properties of the innocent people can be protected.

He also interacted with the families. He was accompanied by minister Konthoujam Govindas, Minister Thounaojam Basantakumar, MLA Sanasam Premchandra, MLA Th Shanti, MLA T Robindro.
