A release issued by MMWO stated that MMWO had conducted the cleanliness drive along with the local clubs of Hatta Golapati in celebration of the 126th birth anniversary of Jananeta Hijam Irabot. The cleanliness drive was organised to recall the ideologies of Hijam Irabot, it added. It stated that Irabot was an avid advocate of human rights. It highlighted the importance of instilling the values and philosophies of Hijam Irabot on the youth of today.

It recalled that Irabot had sacrificed a comfortable life to fight for an equal society, coining his famous quote “thangol ado maya thanglo thouna” (sharpen your sickle razor-sharp). It also highlighted the need to conserve Irabots’s ideology of promoting work-culture and letting go of prejudice against small jobs.
