A clean nungba campaign on ‘Cleanliness for Healthy Living’ and ‘No to drugs, War on Drugs’ programme cum cleanliness drive was held at Nungba Sub-Division Headquarters under Noney district on Monday.
The cleanliness drive was organised by Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur and Rongmei Riders in collaboration with SDO Nungba, 39 AR Nungba Outpost, Nungba Police Station and Nungba Bazar Board.
On the occasion, president Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur (RNSOM) Daichui Gangmei mentioned that “together, we can make a great impact, ensuring a cleaner and greener future for all.”
“It is everyone’s obligation to be a responsible citizen and not to take or use illegal substances. Let us stay drug free and for those who are using illegal substances please know that what you are doing not only affects you but also the people around you,” Daichui Gangmei added as part of the cleanliness drive.
Secretary Nungba Bazar Board and his executives Lumthuilung Kamei lauded the Rongmei Naga Students' Organisation Manipur (RNSOM) and Rongmei Riders for organising such an event. He highly appreciated everyone for participating in the social work-cum-cleanliness drive, he added.
RNSOM member Gaithaodim Malangmei informed that Nungba SDO Namlalung Gangmei, R Shimray, outpost commander 39 Assam Rifles Nungba Nungba and Nilmani Singh OC Nungba Police Station were took part in the cleanliness drive cum social work.
Gaithaodim further said that a clean and save ‘Agaah River’ and ‘War on Drugs’ social awareness programme was also recently held at Noney District Headquarter on April 22.
It was organised by Save River Mission Noney, ZEO Noney, Rongmei Riders, District Administration Noney, Villages Council Longmai Area, (VCLA) RNCM Longmai Luangrian and RNSOM.
As part of the programme that was recently held, they carried out a cleanliness drive cum massive rally, added Gaithaodim Malangmei.
