Different churches under Baptist Churches Union India (BCUI) on Sunday observed the first Pastors' appreciation day at their respective churches across the state.
Different churches under Rongmei Baptist Churches Council (RBCC) also observed the occasion today.
At Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong under Baptist Churches Union India (BCUI), the first Pastors' appreciation day was held with great joy and appreciation.
Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong has four pastors, including emeritus pastor Reverend Lamdin Pamei, aged about 80 years, pastor Reverend Aluanna Gonmei, two associate pastors Dishinglung Panmei and Johnkim Pamei.
All believers gave standing ovations to show respect and love for the pastors and all the congregation renewed their spirit to obey the spiritual guidance while offering prayers for the pastors.
Gifts were also presented to all pastors individually and by different departments within the church organisations.
Zeliangrong Baptist Church Tamenglong head deacon Dr Ajin Panmei who attended as the speaker, expressed that pastors are working day and night to save the souls of church members. He stressed on the importance of being grateful to the pastors by the believers.
Sunday school students presented melodious songs during the occasion.
