For the last couple of days, there have been no reports of any untoward incidents of violence in Churachandpur district, while the district security coordination meeting with 23 village chiefs was held at G Songel village on Thursday.
The coordination meeting is a series of meetings held regularly under the aegis of the district administration led by Churachandpur DC Dharun Kumar in collaboration with other teams that include the police, IRB, and para-military forces like IRB, AR, RAF, CRPF, BSF, etc.
The event which aimed to bring normalcy to the district witnessed the attendance of the chief of the 23 villages.
The team led by the DC, SP, and other security officials visited Zalenkot, Bijang, and other places where they briefed the personnel of the security forces deployed there.
The team also visited different relief camps where the DC, SP of Churachandpur, and CO of 1st IRB distributed relief materials like blankets, mattresses, baby supplements or food, and other items apart from some wheelchairs at selected Relief Centers. The relief materials which came through the Centre government’s assistance as assured by the union home minister were provided on a need basis.
