‘Central forces should be deployed with DC and SP’s consent’

The Peace Committee of 37 Kakching assembly constituency held a meeting on Sunday and discussed a security arrangement and placement of manpower for the safety of the people.

The Peace Committee of 37 Kakching assembly constituency took a resolution that all the Central Security forces placed within the assembly constituency shall deploy their manpower only after a deliberation with the office of the deputy commissioner and superintendent of police of Kakching district.

The resolution was taken during a meeting at the office of the deputy commissioner, Kakching district on Sunday. The meeting resolved that the said deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police, in turn, would do the same after having taken consent and agreement from the Peace Committee and other clubs, NGOs and organisations established with an objective to bring peace, law and order and harmony in the society

The meeting chaired by MLA, M Rameshwore discussed a security arrangement and placement of manpower for the safety of the people of 37 Kakching assembly constituency.

It also resolved to organise interactive sessions with various clubs and organisations formed with an objective to bring peace within the state from time to time.

The meeting further resolved that the status of the relief camps within 37 Kakching assembly constituencies to be assessed and required relief materials and rehabilitation are to be provided for restoring, normalcy, peace and harmony within the state.

The meeting was attended by ADM Kakching on behalf of the deputy commissioner Kapajit Singh; superintendent of police, Kakching Vikramjit Singh; president Senior Citizen Forum, Kakching Nongmaithem Nimai Singh, and former minister Yengkhom Nilachandra Singh who is also the vice chairman of the Peace Committee of 37 Kakching assembly constituency besides representatives of various CSOs, Clubs and local organisations of 37 Kakching assembly constituency.
