Central Control Room clarifies on New Checkon incident

The Central Control Room stated that the law and order situation in the New Checkon area is now under control.

The Central Control Room stated that the reports of two persons being killed in connection with the incident at New Checkon, Imphal East on Monday morning were false and there was no casualty as such.

A release issued on Monday by the Central Control Room, 1st Mr Banquet Hall Ak Jhalajit Singh stated that the law and order situation in the area is now under control.

It may be mentioned that the Central Control Room for Manipur police and other agencies like CRPF, BSF, RAF, Army, etc. was recently activated in order to coordinate and monitor the current law and order situation in the state.

The Central Control Room will also facilitate the public in registering any report/FIRs to the nearest Police Station.

Meanwhile, another release issued by Ak Jhalajit Singh stated that the dedicated rumours free Manipur mobile No 9485280461 has been replaced, due to a technical problem, by the new mobile number 9233522822.

Any report on doubtful information/ suspected information or rumours may be clarified at the new mobile number, it stated.  It further stated that the distress helpline number is 9485280419. The central control room can be reached at centralcontrolroom1mr@gmail.com.
