Taking part in the visit, Convenor of CCIAN Forum Peace Committee, Angomcha Chingkhei lamented over the prevailing violence which has crossed 110 days and urged the state government to make all out efforts to resolve the conflict to avoid further bloodshed instead of waiting to pay floral tributes to those killed in the conflict.

He also extolled the bravery of those on the frontline, who are risking their lives to protect the territorial integrity of the state from the threats imposed by the armed Kuki militants. He also expressed grief over the sufferings endured by them and appealed to the public to extend possible help to them.

The committee earlier extended financial aid to one Hijam Shanker from Khurai Ningthoubung Leikai who also sustained bullet injuries in the Khamenlok incident, he mentioned.
