A programme on career guidance was conducted by Bungmi Association of Community Empowerment and Leadership (BACEL) for class X and XII students at Monsang Pantha community hall, Chandel district on Sunday.
The programme was a continuation of the career guidance programme conducted on May 29 at the same village. The programme was organised with the objective of providing guidance for the students while they are in the comfort of their school-life.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandel food safety officer Sh Wilson said that he did not have such guidance during his school life, and added that the students were lucky to have such experience. Church leader of the village Warshing highlighted that learning, discipline and fear of God should go hand in hand.
BACEL founder and president Ng Rameson Monsang talked on the importance of the youth to share their problems and queries. He further informed the students on the various ways and means to pursue career building job opportunities.
As part of the programme, the successful students of the recent class X and XII exam were also facilitated.
The programme was attended by local Catechist Ng Johnson, Monsang Women’s Union president Dinpham Monsang, Monsang Pantha Youth and Cultural Club president Ng Peter Salim and the members of BACEL.
