The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Manipur on Friday announced that the areas supplied by the Canchipur Water Supply System will not be PRO water for an unspecified period of time.
A release issued by PHED, Manipur stated that the areas supplied by the Canchipur Water Supply System will not get water supply until the completion of the construction of the distribution main junctions and by-pass distribution lines of the water supply system as part of the Integrated Water Supply project for Imphal planning area Phase III.
Areas supplied by the Canchipur Water Supply System, including Naorem Liwa Lambi, Heirangoithong Maibam Leikai and Chingamakha will not be getting water supply for the time being, it mentioned.
Inconvenience caused is deeply regretted, it added.
