Canara Bank Churachandpur branch provides aid to CCI

Physiotherapy equipment were provided Centre for Community Initiative (CCI), Malsom Ability Resource Centre by Canara Bank, Churachandpur branch.

The Churachandpur branch of Canara Bank on Friday provided Physiotherapy equipment to the Centre for Community Initiative (CCI), Malsom Ability Resource Centre located at Pearsonmun as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility scheme for the financial year 2022-23.

The equipment was handed over to the director of CCI Pauzagin Tonsing by Thangzamyan, Manager of Canara Bank, Tuibong, Churachandpur. It consisted of a Robotic Hand Glove, one unit of Continuous Passive Motion, one Traction Bed and Traction Machine, eight packs of Hydrocollator and five Wall-Mount fans.

In 2022 also, under their CSR, the Canara Bank had provided scholarships to 3 (three) deserving students from two schools in the town namely, SSPP Residential School of New Lamka and Gandhi Memorial Government High School, Molnom, Churachandpur.

The CCI is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit and a leading organisation to help Persons with Disability in Churachandpur district and had been running a centre at MARC since 2002, with one of the best clinics in the. At their Therapy Service Unit at MARC, they have a Gait Trainer, TENS & EMS machine, Quadricep Chair, Overhead Pulley, Sounder Wheel, Static Cycle Training Stairs, Weight Cuffs, Physio Ball, etc.

Thanking the Canara Bank for the help, the Director of CCI said that with their existing machine/equipment and the help from Canara Bank, they have one of the best service for PWDs in the district and will go a long way in helping PWDs or Differently Abled Person of the district.
