A bus driver died in a road mishap on Sunday along the National Highway-2 near Nongthonband under Sekmai Police Station at around 6 pm.
The bus bearing registration number MN01-2127 which came from Pheidinga side was driven by the second driver. The main driver and the helper of the bus were injured and are undergoing treatment at RIMS hospital.
The deceased, who is the second driver, is identified as 18-year-old Sagolsem Angouton, son of S Aying from Uchiwa Leirak Achouba Makha Leikai. The injured driver is Naorem Bijen, son of N Ibomcha from Loitang Khunou Maning Leikai and the helper is Khangembam Sunder, son of Kh Ibocha from Patsoi Part 2.
Sekmai Police Station registered a case and later handed over the body to the family members after conducting a post mortem at RIMS mortuary.
