A bomb blast took place in Ukhrul on Monday, leaving two persons injured, sources said.
The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) that exploded in Ukhrul at around 6.26 pm on Monday is suspected to have been planted by unknown miscreants and the injured have been reportedly identified as non-locals.
The bomb exploded from under a handcart at a spot in between Phungreitang and Viewland in Ukhrul. One individual sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Ukhrul District Hospital, the sources said.
