A blood donation campaign was held at Porompat, Imphal East on Wednesday in an effort to extend a helping hand to those in need during the ongoing crisis in Manipur.

The blood donation campaign, organised by the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Alumni Association (JNVKAA) at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), saw an enthusiastic participation of JNV alumni who turned up to donate blood, along with JNIMS staff.

Manipur has been grappling with a series of challenges ranging from health crises to infrastructural disruptions. In light of these difficulties, the JNVKAA took a proactive stance by organizing the blood donation campaign.

The event aimed not only to contribute to the immediate needs of the healthcare system but also to foster a sense of unity and solidarity among the alumni community.

JNV alumni from various batches joined hands for this noble cause, displaying their unwavering commitment to the well-being of their state and its people.

Speaking about the initiative, Chirom Inaoba, Treasurer of JNVKAA, expressed his gratitude to all the alumni who participated and the staff of JNIMS for their wholehearted support.

“Our alumni have always been known for their dedication and passion. Today's event is a testament to the collective strength of our community. We are grateful to JNIMS for providing us with the platform to make a meaningful contribution during these trying times,” he said.

The JNVKAA plans to continue its efforts in supporting the people of Manipur throughout the ongoing crisis. The organization is exploring additional avenues to extend its assistance and create a positive impact in the region.
