Evidence reveal the present crisis in Manipur is a game plan of the BJP government in collusion with the United Kuki Liberation Front militants to destroy Manipur's territorial integrity, the Manipur Communist Party of India said on Sunday.

“More and more evidence has surfaced which reveal that the present crisis which erupted on May 3 is a game plan hatched by the BJP government with the militants United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) to destroy the territorial integrity of Manipur,” the MSC-CPI stated in a release.

MSC-CPI assistant secretary M Joykumar Luwang recalled the infamous incident of June 18, 2001, during the rule of then BJP Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and accused the BJP government of attempting to destroy the unity and territorial integrity of Manipur.

“More evidence has surfaced revealing that Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sarma of the BJP party has been in talks with the Kuki militants to aid them in achieving their goals in exchange for electoral favours. Such vested interests attempting to break the integrity of the state should be punished accordingly and promptly,” it stated.

The MSC-CPI maintained that the Election Commission of India should not remain silent during such dire hours even with the presence of many obvious evidences of political leaders involved in blatant unlawful activities. It urged the ECI to take up immediate action against those involved.

“Rather than dreaming about being the chief minister by camping in Delhi, as an external affairs minister, Union minister Rk Ranjan should be devising concrete steps to talk with the Myanmar military government regarding the armed Myanmarese militants,” it stated.

It stated that it is evident the Indian democracy has failed completely.

"The BJP government have completely dismissed the Indian Constitution and are instigating the present crisis further disregarding the sufferings of the people,” it added.
