Deputy commissioner of Bishnupur district, Lourembam Bikram, on Wednesday cautioned the people of the district to remain alert and take up precautionary measures in view of the likelihood of flood owing to the incessant rainfall in the state.

A notification issued by the deputy commissioner stated that in view of the incessant rainfall experienced in Bishnupur district for the last few days and the rising level of rivers in the district, there is the likelihood of flood taking place in many places of the district.
