A four wheeler vehicle (Alto car), crashed into a tree growing beside Tiddim road near Potsangbam area under Bishnupur Police Station in Bishnupur district around 12.45 am Wednesday, leaving a woman passenger dead and six others, including two children, injured, sources said.

The family had gone to visit the Sangai Ethnic Park at Moirang Khunou in Bishnupur district and were returning in the car, the sources said. 

During the mishap, seven persons, including two children, sustained injuries. They were all admitted to RIMS but Sinam Thoibi, 60, wife of S Devan from Sagolband Meino Leirak, was declared brought dead.  The remaining six are being treated at RIMS, the sources said.
