Bethany Christian College Golden Jubilee celebration held

A diamond jubilee stone was unveiled by Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Education RK Ranjan Singh.

The Golden Jubilee celebration of Bethany Christian College (BCC) was held with the theme, ‘celebrating 50 years of God's Faithfulness' at the college campus located at Family Land, Churachandpur on Saturday. 

The event was attended by the alumni of the college, well wishers and teachers who contributed for the celebration apart from the special guests

A diamond jubilee stone was unveiled by the Union minister of state for external affairs and education RK Ranjan Singh who attended as the chief guest in the presence of former DGP LM Khaute as president; an alumni of the collage, civil servant Mannuamching who attended as the guest of honour along with principal of the college Dr B Kamzamung and his wife and others.

A traditional gong was sounded 50 times by the dignitaries and the alumni of the BCC.

On the occasion, Hathoih, who started the institution in 1971, delivered a welcome speech.  She tearfully recalled that with just seven students she had started the institution which had witnessed ups and down. The programme also witnessed prayers for the departed souls who were the pillar of the BCC.

As a part of the occasion, the union minister released the jubilee souvenir. In his speech, he lauded the college administration for marking the college a wonderful institution that helps the students, the people of Churachandpur and beyond.

“In the capacity as a government official as director, I have done an inspections tour and recommended BCC for a college plus a B. Ed training center,” he said. He also gave assurance to look into the problems of the institution.
