Bandh on NH-37 called off

A statement jointly issued by the Health Services, Manipur and the Village Council, Longmai Area stated that the director of the state health services assured that lab technicians will be posted to the PHC Noney within February of 2023.

Village Council of Longmai Area and CSOs of Noney district on Wednesday called off the imposed 60-hour bandh on NH-37 with immediate effect, following commitments assured by the state health services.

A statement jointly issued by the Health Services, Manipur and the Village Council, Longmai Area stated that the director of the state health services assured that lab technicians will be posted to the PHC Noney within February of 2023, and one ambulance driver along with an additional ambulance will be provided within March, 2023. 

It continued that the two doctors and nurses recently transferred and posted at PHC Noney and CHC Nungba will be made to join duty within one week. In addition to the existing doctors and nurses, more doctors and nurses will be posted in all CHCs and PHCs of Noney district once the current recruitment process of contractual basis doctors and nurses is completed, it added.
