Bailey Bridge in Wangoo Chuthek Leikai above Manipur River in Kakching district has been renovated under the sponsorship of Sugnu MLA K Ranjit as people of the area have been facing inconveniences while crossing the bridge.
Localities came out together to renovate the bridge. Taking part in the renovation, one Th Dhamen said that the bridge was constructed by MLA K Ranjit when he was the Works Minister of the state.
Localities have urged the authorities concerned but failed to renovate the deteriorating condition of the bridge, he added.
He said that localities also appreciated the MLA for assuring to renovate the other two bridges in Wangoo. The MLA assured to renovate Wangoo Lupa Marup Bailey bridge and the suspension bridge in Wangoo Heinouyam.
Dhamen appealed to the authorities concerned to convert the two wooden Bailey bridges into a bridge with iron plates.
