Manipur University (MU) vice-chancellor professor N Lokendra Singh flagged off a team of students for an exchange programme under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ on Sunday.
Under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) - Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB): Visit of students to paired states’, a contingent of students from Manipur was flagged from the Manipur Institute of Technology, Manipur University campus.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) is a programme for promoting national integration through systematic exchange between paired states. Manipur is paired with Madhya Pradesh and Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipur University has been selected by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India for implementation of the exchange programme for the state of Manipur under EBSB.
The team will stay in Indore for five days and during their stay they will learn about the linguistic and cultural aspects of Madhya Pradesh covering history, culture, language, cuisine, festivals, clothing, among others.
